My Journey in Photography
Hi, it’s me, Thomas. I'm from Switzerland, living in Lucerne, and I’m passionate about all things design, especially the beauty of nature. Alongside my work as a UI designer, I’m deeply connected to visual storytelling through photography.
For me, photography is a journey—a process with multiple layers. It begins outdoors, where I find pure joy and calmness, often alone, immersed in nature. This moment of stillness is the heart of my work. But the process doesn’t end there. I love the post-processing phase just as much, where I refine my images with subtle, moody tones, always aiming for simplicity.
My favorite subjects are always rooted in nature, and I select only the most eye-catching yet minimalistic images for my artwork. To me, each piece must bring calm, beauty, and simplicity into a home.
Bring the Image Alive
The final layer of my photography journey is the print, where the images truly come to life. In a world where we scroll through thousands of digital images daily, it’s easy to forget the power of the artwork itself. That’s where printing makes all the difference. Nothing conveys the quality, feeling, and presence of an image better than seeing it in physical form, hanging on a wall. It transforms the work from a fleeting moment on a screen to a living piece of art, creating a lasting impression.
It’s not just Paper
For my artwork, I use the finest Hahnemühle Photopaper to ensure every print captures the essence of the original image. My personal favorite is Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308g, a high-quality cotton-based paper that provides a solid yet soft texture. Its natural structure gives the artwork a subtle, tactile feel, breathing life and soul back into the image.
Whether you choose the Photo Rag or another Hahnemühle paper for your wall art, I guarantee an unparalleled level of quality that enhances the beauty and depth of every piece.
